There’s a square knot on every box we make. It’s the rope tattoo on Drew’s arm. It’s the summers he spent sailing a 30 foot catamaran with his grandfather up and down the California, Oregon, and Washington coasts. It’s the two of us and the many opportunities we’ve had to grow up and together.

A square knot is the first knot anyone teaches you, and the one you end up trusting the most: two lines, holding because they’re physically bound.

Before cigars, Drew spent six years making wine. That’s where his love of handmade, handcrafted things took root: patience, agriculture, terroir, blending, the discipline of making a slow thing in a fast world.

Drew found cigars the way we hope you will: for the time they hold open. Hours with friends, family, and mentors, and the conversations that only seem to happen when a cigar slows everyone down. A cigar is thirty to sixty minutes you can’t rush. Sit alone with one and you’ll finally hear yourself. Sit with someone else and you’ll say the things that never come out over text.

Every Bound cigar is rolled the traditional way in Estelí, Nicaragua by experienced torcedores who spent ten to fifteen years earning the title. We won’t modernize what they do. The brand is ours. The craft is theirs. The box says both.
