MADE IN ESTELÍ, NICARAGUA

The brand is new. The hands are not.

Every Bound cigar is rolled the traditional way in Estelí, Nicaragua, by torcedores who spent ten to fifteen years earning the title.

THE CRAFT

Modern brand. Traditional cigar.

It takes ten to fifteen years to master rolling a cigar by hand. We didn’t modernize that, and we never will. Our job is to choose the blends, hold the standard, and get out of the way of the people who do the real work.

Northbound is built on Nicaraguan filler and finished in three wrappers: Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade, Habano, and Mexican Maduro. Every one is a toro, 6 x 52.

THE MAKING

Nothing here is rushed.

Filler is sorted by hand, bunched by hand and rolled by hand. Then it sits until it is ready, which is not a date we get to pick.

In the mold

Bunched cigars rest in wooden presses until the shape holds on its own.

By hand

Ten to fifteen years of practice go into a wrapper you are not supposed to notice.

Then it waits

Finished cigars age in the room before they are banded and boxed. Time is the last ingredient.

It starts in the field.
