Dark chocolate and hardwood smoke at the light, browned butter and dark caramel underneath. Espresso overtakes the chocolate through the middle. Clove and allspice press in late, an under-sweet holiday spice cake. Old leather throughout, worn and trusty as a cracked saddle. Strong, never unwieldy.
